Frequently asked questions
Why does the story preview show no caption?
Because Snapchat never receives one. A story is the snap itself — the text you write reaches Snapchat only as a Spotlight description or as the Saved Story title, so the preview leaves it off rather than showing text that would silently vanish.
What are the three Snapchat post types?
Story is a snap on your public story, visible 24 hours. Saved Story is the same snap pinned permanently to your public profile, with a title of up to 45 characters. Spotlight is a vertical video distributed on Snapchat’s Spotlight feed, 6 to 60 seconds, with a description of up to 160 characters.
