How much does YouTube pay per 1,000 views?
There is no single answer, which is why this tool asks you for the figure. Reported RPMs after YouTube's revenue share span roughly $1 to $6 per 1,000 views, and the spread is driven by audience geography and niche far more than by channel size: the same video earns several times more from viewers in high-CPM advertising markets than from a globally distributed audience. Take your own RPM from YouTube Studio and replace the default.
Is this before or after YouTube's cut?
After. The default band is what creators report receiving, which is already net of YouTube's 45% share of ad revenue. If you enter a gross CPM figure from an advertiser instead, the result will be far too high.
Does this include memberships, Super Thanks and sponsorships?
No. It estimates ad revenue only. For most channels above a modest size, sponsorships are the larger line and are priced per video rather than per view, so they are estimated separately by the brand-deal figure on this page.
Do I need an account?
