X (Twitter) Engagement Rate Calculator — Free Tool
Calculate your X engagement rate from likes, reposts and replies over impressions, the denominator X publishes on every post, with benchmark ranges.
These bands are ranges, not thresholds. Published benchmarks disagree with each other because they use different denominators and different samples, so compare against your own past posts before comparing against anyone else.

Frequently asked questions
Why divide by impressions rather than followers?
Because X is one of the few platforms that shows an impression count on every post, to everyone. That is the number of times the post was actually seen, which is what an engagement rate is trying to normalise against. A follower denominator on X produces a figure an order of magnitude larger and comparable to nothing.
What is a good engagement rate on X?
Against impressions, most accounts land well under 3%, and figures under 1% are entirely ordinary. Published benchmarks disagree with each other because they use different denominators and different samples, so treat any single figure you read as one methodology's answer, not the answer. Numbers you see quoted above 3% are usually computed against followers, not impressions.
Where do I find impressions?
The view count under a post is its impression count, and the post analytics view breaks it down further with likes, reposts, replies and profile visits. No paid API access is needed for your own posts.
Do I need an account?
No. It is arithmetic in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
