Pinterest behaves more like a search engine than a feed. A Pin can surface months after it goes out, so steady pinning matters more than perfect timing, and the description matters more than the caption does elsewhere.

Steps
- Connect your Pinterest account under Channels.
- Open the composer and select Pinterest.
- Choose Pin, Video Pin or Carousel.
- Upload the image or video and pick a board.
- Write the description.
- Pick the date, time and time zone, then press Schedule.
Media rules and description length are checked before the Pin is queued.
Write the description as search text
A cross-posted Instagram caption full of personality and hashtags does the wrong job here. Say plainly what the Pin shows, in the words someone would type to find it. Put the main phrase early.

The second tells a searcher what it is. The first only works for people who already follow you.
A monthly batching routine
- Make a month of Pins in one sitting, with images and descriptions.
- Schedule them across the following weeks.
- Look at the calendar for gaps and top up monthly.
A month of daily pinning is one batch, not three top-ups.
Sending the same visual elsewhere
The same image often suits Instagram or Facebook. Add them in the same composer, and write a new caption for each. The Pinterest one is the search-text version.
