Frequently asked questions
Is this what I should charge, or pay?
Neither. It is a starting benchmark, not a market rate. The number is built from published platform CPM ranges applied to estimated reach — it knows nothing about your niche, your audience quality, the usage rights or exclusivity in the deal, how many deliverables it covers, or what the brand's budget is. Real rates for the same follower count routinely differ by 5× or more. Use it to open a conversation, then price the actual work.
How is the range calculated?
Estimated reach is followers × a typical per-platform reach share. That reach is priced against a low and a high CPM benchmark for the platform, then adjusted by how your engagement rate compares to a typical rate for that platform. The adjustment is capped between 0.5× and 2× so an unusual engagement figure on a small account cannot produce an absurd fee.
Why does engagement rate matter more than follower count?
Because followers measure how many people once tapped a button, and engagement measures how many still care. An account with 20,000 engaged followers routinely delivers more for a brand than one with 200,000 passive ones, which is why the calculator moves the benchmark with engagement rather than scaling on followers alone.
What is not priced in?
Usage rights, whitelisting or paid amplification, exclusivity windows, revisions, multi-platform bundles, on-camera talent, travel, and rush timelines — all of which move a real quote substantially. Treat the range as the cost of one organic post and add for everything else.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Every calculation happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged, and no account is required.
