Frequently asked questions

Why divide by impressions rather than followers?

LinkedIn reports impressions on every post, for personal profiles as well as company pages, so the honest denominator is available. Follower counts on LinkedIn are also a poor proxy for reach: a post can be shown far outside your network, or barely inside it, and impressions capture that where followers do not.

What is a good LinkedIn engagement rate?

Against impressions, published figures commonly sit between 1% and 6%, and company pages typically score lower than personal profiles. Published benchmarks disagree with each other because they use different denominators and different samples, so treat any single figure you read as one methodology's answer, not the answer.

Do reactions and reposts count the same?

This tool counts them equally, which is the standard approach. In practice a comment or a repost signals more than a reaction and tends to drive more distribution, so two accounts with the same rate can have very different content. Read the breakdown, not only the percentage.

Do I need an account?
