Yes. LinkedIn carousels can be scheduled like any other LinkedIn post.
The thing worth knowing first is what a LinkedIn carousel actually is, because it isn’t the same object as an Instagram carousel.
A LinkedIn carousel is a PDF
Through BulkPublish, LinkedIn supports four post types:
| Type | Media |
|---|---|
| Post | Optional |
| Gallery | Required |
| PDF Carousel | Required |
| Article | Optional |
The carousel is the PDF Carousel: you upload a PDF document and LinkedIn renders it as a swipeable set of pages in the feed.
That single fact changes the workflow. You’re not selecting a set of images, you’re exporting a multi-page document. Whatever you design in, the output is one PDF rather than ten JPGs.
Why it’s worth the effort
The PDF Carousel is the LinkedIn format most likely to make someone stop. Swiping is a deliberate action, and a reader who swipes has committed more attention than one who scrolled past a paragraph.
It’s also the format most often lost to cross-posting. A workflow that flattens everything into plain text everywhere quietly stops you making carousels at all, because text is the lowest common denominator across platforms.
Design notes
Page one has to earn the swipe. Same rule as Instagram’s first image, and more so, because a document preview shows very little.
Keep it readable at small sizes. Most LinkedIn viewing is on a phone, and a dense slide designed on a laptop is unreadable there.
Aim for a sensible page count. Long enough to be worth swiping, short enough to finish. This is judgement rather than a rule, but a fifty-page PDF is not a carousel.
What LinkedIn accepts alongside it
| Post text | 3,000 characters |
| Images (Gallery) | Up to 20, 10 MB each |
| Video | Up to 500 MB and 30 minutes |
The post text accompanying a carousel still matters. It’s what appears above the document in the feed, and it’s doing the same first-line job as any LinkedIn post.
Scheduling one
- Export your carousel as a PDF
- Connect your LinkedIn account
- Choose PDF Carousel
- Upload the PDF and write the accompanying post
- Pick a date and time and queue it
Media rules and text length are validated before the post is queued.
Cross-posting a carousel
A LinkedIn PDF carousel doesn’t transfer to other platforms as a document. If the same content should exist elsewhere, the usual route is exporting the pages as images and posting them as an Instagram carousel, up to 10 images, or a Tumblr post, which takes up to 30.
That’s a genuine second export rather than a cross-post, so it’s worth deciding whether the content warrants it.
Plan limits
BulkPublish publishes to LinkedIn and 14 other networks.
- Channels: Free: 3 (1 per platform). Pro: 30 (2 per platform). Business: 75 (5 per platform).
- Posts: Free: 3/day. Pro: 30/day. Business: unlimited.
- Storage: Free: 100 MB. Pro: 2 GB. Business: 10 GB.
Short answer
Yes. A LinkedIn carousel is a PDF document rather than a set of images, so it’s exported rather than assembled. It’s the format most likely to stop someone scrolling, and the one a text-flattening cross-posting habit quietly stops you from making.
