Steps
- Connect your LinkedIn account under Channels.
- Open the composer and select LinkedIn.
- Choose the format: Post, Gallery, PDF Carousel or Article.
- Write the post.
- Attach images, a video, or the PDF for a carousel.
- Pick the date, time and time zone, then press Schedule.
Length and media are validated before the post is queued, so you hear about a problem now rather than at the scheduled minute.
Choosing a format
- Post for text with or without one image. The default.
- Gallery when several images belong together.
- PDF Carousel when you have slides or a checklist. LinkedIn shows an uploaded PDF as a swipeable document, and it is the format accounts most often leave unused.
- Article for long-form pieces.
The 30-minute video allowance is the longest of any network in a normal set, so a full talk or demo can stay whole here when it needs cutting everywhere else.
Write for LinkedIn separately
LinkedIn cuts the feed text after a short preview with a “see more”, so the opening line carries the post. The register also differs from short-form networks: text written for X reads thin here, and text written for LinkedIn reads stiff on X.
If LinkedIn is one of several destinations, write its version on its own. In the composer you can keep one draft and give each network its own caption.
A weekly routine that works
- Pick two or three days and fix a time for each.
- Draft the week’s posts in one sitting, opening lines first.
- Schedule them to those slots.
- Look at the calendar for gaps before you close it.
Troubleshooting
- A post will not queue. Check the length against 3,000 characters and the video against 500 MB.
- The time looks wrong. Check the time zone shown in the schedule picker before you confirm.
- You need to change a queued post. Edit it in your calendar and update the schedule.
