Setting up Obsidian

Install it from Settings, then Community plugins, by searching for BulkPublish, and turn it on. Paste the API key under Settings, then BulkPublish. Frontmatter can preselect the channels, a time or an approval request for each note, so a note can carry its own publishing instructions.

  1. Create a BulkPublish account and connect the channels you want to publish to. The free plan connects three channels and does not ask for a card.
  2. Install the BulkPublish plugin in Obsidian from Obsidian Community Plugins, using the link further down, and turn it on.
  3. In BulkPublish, open Settings, then Developer, and make an API key.
  4. Open the plugin settings in Obsidian and paste the key.
  5. Publish something. Every operation in the table above is available from inside Obsidian.

Ways teams use this

Made for writers who draft in their vault and do not want a second app for social, and for teams that keep their content calendar as notes. Each note records where it went and when, so the vault stays the record of what was published.

  • Bulk upload a month of posts in one pass, then let the queue send them out at the times you set.
  • Write once and cross-post everywhere. One post, adapted per network, goes to every connected channel together.
  • Turn a blog or podcast RSS feed into automatic posts the moment a new item appears.
  • Read the numbers back. Impressions, engagement and link clicks come back the same way the posts went out.
