How to Get Client Feedback on Social Media Posts (Without a Login)

Send a client one link to a post. They leave notes, pin feedback to the exact spot on an image, and you see it on the post, ready to act on.

Getting a client to sign off on a post is rarely the hard part. Getting feedback you can act on is. “Can the logo be bigger?” in an email, about one of nine images, sent to the wrong person, two days before the post goes out.

A review link gives the client one page with the post on it, and somewhere to say what should change, right on the image they mean.

Share the post

Open the post’s ⋯ menu in your posts list and choose Create review link. The link is copied for you; paste it into an email or a chat with your client.

The client doesn’t need a BulkPublish account. The link shows the post as it will look, and nothing else in your workspace. You can revoke it from the same menu at any time.

What the client sees

On the review page, a client can:

  • Write a note about the whole post. “Swap the second sentence” or “Approved from our side”.
  • Pin a note to the image. They choose Pin a note to the image, click the spot, and write what should change there. Each pin is numbered, so “pin 2” means one exact place.
  • Add their name. It’s optional, and it’s remembered on their device for the next note.
  • Edit their own note later from the same browser, if they change their mind.

A note can be up to 1,000 characters. That’s plenty for feedback, and short enough to stay feedback.

Where the feedback lands

Every note appears on the post in BulkPublish, in its own Client feedback section. Pinned notes show their number on the image, so your designer sees exactly where the change goes.

You also know feedback arrived without checking:

  • A notification goes to the person who sent the review link. If they’ve since left the team, it goes to whoever created the post.
  • A count on the post in your posts list shows how many notes are still open.

Close the loop

When a change is made, choose Mark done on that note. It stays visible, struck through, so you and the client can both see what was handled. Reopen brings it back if the change wasn’t right.

Your team’s own discussion stays separate. Team notes sit just below client feedback and never appear on the review link, so you can say “they asked for this twice” without the client reading it.

Which plans include it

Review links and client notes are on the Pro and Business plans. Free and Lifetime are single-person plans and don’t include client collaboration.

Tips for faster sign-off

  • Send the link before the post is due. Review links work on scheduled posts, so there’s time to change things.
  • Ask one question. “Is the headline right?” gets a faster answer than “thoughts?”
  • Pair it with approvals. For posts that must not go out unapproved, use an approval workflow alongside the link, and see more on client review.
