Connect Client Social Media Accounts in 2026 [Updated Guide]
Getting a client’s account connected used to mean a password in a chat message or a screen-share call while they clicked through a login they would rather not watch you do. A client connect link removes both: you send one link, they open it, sign in on the network’s own site, and the account is in your workspace without you ever seeing their password or needing them to have a BulkPublish account at all.
Updated October 2026. The plan allowances and networks below are read from the app itself every time this site is built.
How client connect links work
The link is scoped to one account and one use. Your client opens it, picks their network, and signs in directly with that network, the same login screen they would see anywhere else. Once the account connects, the link stops working, so it cannot be reused or forwarded on to connect a second account by mistake.
- Create a link and give it your own label, such as the client’s name, for your reference only. The client never sees this label.
- Send the client the link. They open it and see only the networks it can be used for.
- The client signs in on that network’s own site to connect their account. No BulkPublish account and no shared password are needed.
- The account appears in your workspace, connected and ready to schedule to, and the link stops working the moment it is used.
Networks this works on
This capability is not limited to a subset. It works the same way on all 11 networks BulkPublish publishes to, and each one has a guide of its own.
What each plan is allowed
Client connect links are on Pro and Business, not Free or Lifetime, since those two are single-seat plans without client collaboration. An account connected this way still counts toward your plan’s channel limits like any other account.
| Allowance | Free | Pro | Business |
|---|---|---|---|
| Client review and connect links | No | Yes | Yes |
| Connected channels | 3 | 30 | 75 |
| Accounts per network | 1 | 2 | 5 |
These are the figures the app enforces, not a summary of them. The pricing page lists what each plan costs and everything else it includes.
Working with AI agents
An assistant can create a client connect link for you and hand you the link to send, without you leaving the conversation to open the dashboard.
BulkPublish runs a hosted MCP server, so an AI assistant can do this work with you instead of you copying its answer into another tab. It exposes 20 tools over OAuth: an agent can see your channels, draft a post, put it in the queue, publish it and read the numbers back afterwards. Nothing to install, no API key to paste.
Tools worth connecting
BulkPublish already talks to these, and each one has a setup guide.
Free tools for this job
These run in your browser with no account, and they do one piece of this work on their own. Useful before you sign up, and still useful after.
Common questions
Which networks can a client connect this way?
Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Discord, Tumblr and Snapchat. Facebook, Bluesky, Mastodon and Telegram need a different kind of sign-in, so your team connects those directly instead.
Does my client need a BulkPublish account?
No. They open the link, sign in on the network’s own site, and that is the whole process. No account, no password shared with anyone.
How long does a link last, and how many times can it be used?
It works once: the moment an account is connected, the link stops working. If it goes unused it expires after 7 days. Create a new link for each account you want connected.
Is this available on every plan?
It is on Pro and Business only. Free and Lifetime are single-seat plans and do not include client collaboration.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, and it does not ask for a card. The table above shows what the free plan is allowed for this capability, and the pricing page lists the rest.
Can an AI assistant do this for me?
Yes. The hosted MCP server lets an assistant draft, schedule, publish and read your analytics over OAuth, with nothing to install and no key to paste.
Still stuck? The Help Center walks through it step by step.
