Managing Multiple Social Media Accounts in 2026 [Updated Guide]

Running more than a handful of accounts is a different job from running one. The accounts belong in groups, the groups belong to clients or brands, and picking accounts one at a time for every post stops being reasonable somewhere around the third client. Channel sets are the grouping, and the plan limits are what decide how far it goes.

How managing multiple accounts works

A channel set is a named group of connected accounts. Publishing to the set publishes to every account in it, which is the click that gets shorter as the account list gets longer. Two separate limits apply: how many accounts in total, and how many of the same network.

  1. Connect each account. Every connection is a normal sign-in on that network’s own site, and can be disconnected whenever you like.
  2. Group the accounts that belong together into a channel set, usually one per client or brand.
  3. Publish to the set rather than picking accounts one by one.
  4. Add labels on top when you need to slice the same accounts a second way.

What each plan is allowed

Two numbers matter and they are easy to confuse: the total accounts a plan connects, and how many accounts of the same network. A plan that connects thirty accounts but two per network cannot hold five Instagram profiles.
