Social Media Reports in 2026 [Updated Guide]

A report is the analytics dashboard with an audience. It answers the monthly question somebody outside the team asks, which is not "what were the impressions" but "was this month better than last, and on what". Reports are built from the same collected numbers the dashboard shows, over a range and a set of channels you choose.

Updated September 2026. The plan allowances and networks below are read from the app itself every time this site is built.

How reports work

A report reads the numbers already collected rather than going back to the platforms when you open it. That is what makes a report about a month you have already finished stable: it says the same thing in November that it said in October.

  1. Pick the period the report covers.
  2. Pick the channels it is about, which for an agency is usually one client’s set.
  3. The report is built from the metrics already collected for the posts published in that period.
  4. Read it, or hand it on. The figures are the platforms’ own, so anybody can check them against the network.

Networks this works on

This capability is not limited to a subset. It works the same way on all 15 networks BulkPublish publishes to, and each one has a guide of its own.

What each plan is allowed

Reports are not metered by plan. What changes with the plan is how many channels there are to report on and how many people can be in the organization to read them.

Working with AI agents

An assistant can write the paragraph the report needs and you do not want to write: what changed, against what, and what is worth doing about it.

BulkPublish runs a hosted MCP server, so an AI assistant can do this work with you instead of you copying its answer into another tab. It exposes 66 tools over OAuth: an agent can see your channels, draft a post, put it in the queue, publish it and read the numbers back afterwards. Nothing to install, no API key to paste.

Tools worth connecting

BulkPublish already talks to these, and each one has a setup guide.

Free tools for this job

These run in your browser with no account, and they do one piece of this work on their own. Useful before you sign up, and still useful after.

Who uses this most

These audiences have a page of their own where this capability sits next to the rest of what they use.

Common questions

Can I report on one client at a time?

Yes. A report is scoped to the channels you choose, so a client with their own set of accounts gets a report about only those.

Are reports available on the free plan?

Yes. Reporting is not metered by plan; the free plan simply has fewer channels to report on.

Where do the figures come from?

The same per-post metrics the analytics dashboard shows, collected from each platform’s API after publishing.

Can a client read a report without an account?

Reports live in the app, so reading one in place means being in the organization. Business plans hold ten people, which is what makes that practical for a client seat.

Is there a free plan?

Yes, and it does not ask for a card. The table above shows what the free plan is allowed for this capability, and the pricing page lists the rest.

Can an AI assistant do this for me?

Yes. The hosted MCP server lets an assistant draft, schedule, publish and read your analytics over OAuth, with nothing to install and no key to paste.

Still stuck? The Help Center walks through it step by step.

The ones people usually need next come first.
